TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD WINDSTAR. WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, A LOUD NOISE EMITTED FROM UNDER THE SUBFRAME. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUBFRAME AND THE ENGINE CRADLE WERE SEVERELY CORRODED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
