Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 BMW X5. THE CONTACT STATED ONCE THE SPEEDOMETER REACHED 40 MPH, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE MESSAGE "ENGINE MALFUNCTION STOP THE VEHICLE" DISPLAYED ON THE PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL SUPPLY SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
