Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS BEING SERVICED FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, THE TECHNICIAN NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WIPERS ACTIVATED INDEPENDENTLY. IN ADDITION, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS DIMMED AND FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE DEALER STATED THAT MOISTURE AND CONDENSATION INSIDE OF THE WIRING HARNESS CAUSED THE WIRES TO BECOME CORRODED. AS A RESULT, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,600.
