Consumer Description

WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS THE CAR SUDDENLY FAILS TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS ACCOMPANIED BY THE WRENCH LIGHT AND THE ENGINE LIGHT. THE ENGINE LIGHT DIAGNOSTIC CODE SAYS THROTTLE SENSOR. WHEN IT HAPPENS THE CAR APPEARS TO STALL OUT AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE BUT WILL COAST. THE ENGINE IS THEN TURNED OFF THEN BACK ON AND WILL DRIVE NORMALLY AGAIN. IT HAPPENS VERY SPORADICALLY. IT'S VERY DANGEROUS TO LOSE THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE ESPECIALLY WHEN MAKING A TURN OR DRIVING IN A LANE WITHOUT A SHOULDER TO PULL OVER. FROM READING OTHER POSTS I'M QUITE CERTAIN IT IS A DEFECTIVE THROTTLE BODY AND BELIEVE THIS PART NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. LIVES ARE AT RISK! *TR
