Consumer Description
BMW RECALL DATED 11/12/2013, NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13V564000. RECALL UP TO 76,565 UNITS FOR FAILURES OF FRONT SEAT OCCUPANT PROTECTION MAT. AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT. CONTACTED BMW AND TOLD MY VIN DOES NOT FALL INTO BMW RANGE BUT I'VE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE EXACT FAILURE SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE USED IN 10/2013. BMW HAS LIKELY NOT IDENTIFIED THE TRUE VIN RANGE OF VEHICLES IMPACTED BY DEFECTIVE OCCUPANCY MATS AND REFUSES TO PAY FOR REPLACEMENT. *TR
