Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 MAZDA CX5. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE GEAR SHIFTER BUTTON FAILED. THE BUTTON WOULD DISENGAGE THE GEAR SHIFTER FROM DRIVE TO NEUTRAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 3,000.
