Consumer Description

I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AT 50 MPH , WHEN A CHIME SOUNDED, POWER STEERING WAS DISPLAYED ON MESSAGE CENTER, AND POWER STEERING FORCE WAS LOST. STEERING BECAME ALMOST TOO HEAVY TO STEER AT ALL. WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER, TURN OFF IGNITION, AND RESET STEERING SYSTEM. SINCE THEN, THIS HAPPENED WITHOUT WARNING AT LEAST 20 TIMES IN THE PAST YEAR. POWER STEERING MOTOR FELT HOT TO TOUCH. I AM STUCK WITH THIS VERY DANGEROUS CONDITION. RECALL SHOULD INCLUDE ALL CARS AFFECTED. GM IS NEGLIGENT SO FAR IN REPLACING THIS ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. *JS
