Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SATURN ION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING WAS INOPERABLE. THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING FUNCTIONALITY RETURNED AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V153000 (STEERING) WHICH HE LINKED TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 139,000.
