Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BMW 750LI. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE VEHICLE DOOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED INDICATING THAT THE DOOR WAS OPEN. THE CONTACT MANEUVERED THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN ORDER TO CLOSE THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR ACTUATOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES OVER A TWO YEAR PERIOD. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 87,656. UPDATED 8/27/14*CN
