Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEM WAS DEFECTIVE AND WOULD READ THAT THE DOOR WAS OPEN WHEN IT WAS CLOSED, AND READ THAT THE DOOR WAS CLOSED WHEN IT WAS OPENED. AS A RESULT, THE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK SYSTEM WOULD NOT ENGAGE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,000. UPDATED 12/20/*CN THE DEALER REPLACED THE DOOR LATCH. UPDATED 12/16/13
