Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 TOYOTA PRIUS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO SHIFT INTO PARK BUT THE GEAR SHIFTER FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF IN ORDER TO SHIFT INTO PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFT UNIT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
