Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCURY MILAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DRIVER FRONT DOOR BUT THE DOOR LATCH FAILED. THE CONTACT HAD TO HOLD THE DOOR SHUT IN ORDER TO DRIVE TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE DEALER STATED THAT A PIECE WITHIN THE LATCH SYSTEM HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEFECTIVE PART WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED .THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND A COMPLAINT WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 37,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
