Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25-30 MPH, SHE WOULD HEAR A LOUD NOISE AS THE VEHICLE WOULD BECOME HESITANT WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS. THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOR THE POWER TRANSFER UNIT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 62,300. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
