Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 DODGE JOURNEY. THE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH KUMHO SOLUS KHH16 TIRES, TIRE SIZE 225/55/19. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE CONTINUOUSLY. IN ADDITION, THERE WAS A VIBRATION IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE BOTH FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED WITH NEW TIRES. THE DEFECTIVE TIRES EXHIBITED SEVERE TREAD SEPARATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,800. UPDATED 12/14/12*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED AFTER HAVING THE TIRES BALANCED AND ROTATED, THE OWNER NOTICED THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHAKE WHILE EXITING THE DEALERSHIP PARKING LOT.
