Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE PARKED AND ATTEMPTING TO REVERSE, A PIECE OF METAL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE STABILIZER LINK BRACKET WAS HANGING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER HOWEVER NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE BRACKET HAD NOT BEEN WELDED PROPERLY. THE BRACKET WAS WELDED AGAIN TO THE STRAP AND REPLACED BY A NEW STABILIZER LINK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.
