Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 DODGE DURANGO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE PLACED IN NEUTRAL IN ORDER TO RESTART. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER REPLACED THE SPARK PLUGS, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND A DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS PERFORMED, WHICH LOCATED THE FAILURE AT THE CAM SHAFT AND CRANK SENSORS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
