Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 HONDA ODYSSEY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REAR LIFT GATE FAILED TO REMAIN OPEN BECAUSE THE GAS FILLED STRUTS FAILED. AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 12V062000 (STRUCTURE: BODY: HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE: SUPPORT DEVICE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THEY OFFERED NO OTHER ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
