Consumer Description

DRIVING NORTH ON THE HIGHWAY @ 70MPH, VEHICLE BACKFIRED AND ENGINE SHUT DOWN, NO POWER STEERING OR BRAKES. MOVED VEHICLE OFF THE HIGHWAY, CRANKED BUT WOULD NOT START. LEFT VEHICLE FOR THE DAY AND RETURNED AND REPLACED A RECALLED (BUT KNOWN GOOD REPLACEMENT) ECM RELAY AND VEHICLE STARTED AND RAN CORRECTLY BUT SHOWED SES LIGHT AND CODE SHOWED P0335 CRK POS SENSOR. THIS VEHICLE HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WHILE DRIVING WHICH REPRESENTED A SERIOUS HAZARD TO BOTH THE DRIVER AND SURROUNDING VEHICLES SHOULD THE DRIVER HAS PANICKED IN THIS SITUATION AND HEAVY TRAFFIC. TO DATE THE VEHICLE IS A NISSAN FACILITY AND STILL HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AT GREAT EXPENSE AND INCONVENIENCE TO THE OWNER. *TR
