Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 FORD WINDSTAR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ROUTINE INSPECTION, THE MECHANIC ADVISED HIM THAT THE SUB-FRAME WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED. THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 11V030000 (STRUCTURE: FRAME AND MEMBERS:UNDERBODY SHIELDS) BUT THE MECHANIC ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE RECALL REMEDY DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS LATER CONTACTED AND THEY OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE FAILURE AND THE CURRENT MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 101,000.
