Consumer Description

POWER STEERING GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 SATURN ION. USE TO OCCUR FEW TIMES A WEEK NOW HAPPENS ALMOST EVERYTIME WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THE CAR IS TURNED OFF THAN TURNED BACK ON THE POWER STEERING RETURNS TO NORMAL FOR A FEW MILES TILL IT GOES OFF AGAIN. THOUGHT I HAD SEEN A RECALL ON SEARCHING ONLINE BUT WHEN I CALLED GM DEALERSHIP (SATURN'S OUT OF BUSINESS) THEY CLAIMED THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A RECALL ON SATURN ION 2007 FOR POWER STEERING. HAVE SEEN ONLINE OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH SAME PROBLEM AND CONSIDERING CAR ONLY 3YRS OLD AND ONLY 47,000 MILES AND THAT IT GOES AWAY WHEN CAR TURNED OFF AND BACK ON THAT IT MIGHT BE SOME KIND OF COMPUTER ERROR OR SOMETHING. EVERY DIFFICULT TO STEER WHEN IT DOES GO OFF AND DEALERSHIP WANTS $125 FOR DIAGNOSTIC & UP TO $600 TO CORRECT ERROR. *TR
