MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INFREQUENTLY WOULD COME ON AND OFF STARTING IN JUNE 2010, ALONG WITH THE CAR JERKING DURING ACCELERATION AT SPEEDS OF 10, 25 AND 35. 7/7/10 I TOOK MY COROLLA INTO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSIS OF THE PROBLEM, CODE P2716. I WAS INFORMED THAT MY ENGINE COMPUTER (ECM) NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. FOR SAFETY PURPOSES I HAD THE ECM REPLACED. THE NHTSA HAS OPENED A DEFECT INVESTIGATION INTO THE ISSUE.
