Consumer Description

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 DODGE RAM 1500. ON APPROXIMATELY SIX OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING AT ANY SPEED, THE VEHICLE SURGED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT HAS TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AND HOLD IT DOWN. THE RPM'S INCREASED AND THE VEHICLE FELT AS IF IT WERE ATTEMPTING TO GET AWAY. THE VEHICLE HAS TO BE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF IN ORDER FOR IT TO STOP. THE ESP INDICATOR ALSO ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO A DEALER SIX TIMES FOR THIS FAILURE WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,529 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 4,000. UPDATED 11/17/08 *CN UPDATED 11/24/08. *JB
