TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 YAMAHA FJR1300 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 09V002000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION:SWITCH). THE AUTHORIZED DEALER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT THE RECALL REPAIR HAS NOT BEEN PERFORMED DUE TO A MASSIVE NATIONAL BACK ORDER FOR THE NECESSARY PART. THE PART WILL BE UNAVAILABLE UNTIL JULY 21, 2009. THE CONTACT WAS PLACED ON A WAITING LIST. THE TECHNICIAN RECOMMENDED THAT THE VEHICLE NOT BE DRIVEN DUE TO THE SAFETY RISK INVOLVED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 500.
