The contact owns a 2020 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the front driver's side fender liner above the tire detached while driving at approximately 55 MPH. After inspection, the liner was missing. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the fender liner needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 38,650.
I was driving on the road and I heard something like an explosion, I turned the emergency lights on and stopped to find out what had happened. I saw the sunroof completely broken, fortunately I didn’t get hurt but I got so scared and I don’t know if I will feel comfortable driving my car again.
I’ve owned my 2020 Toyota Corolla since April of 2019. Around June of 2022 I noticed a sloshing/ swooshing sound. I didn’t think much of it, but it kept doing/ hearing it. Finally I got tired of hearing the noise, and started to look for where the noise was coming from. I then realized there was water in my rear doors. I didn’t know what to do since once I realized what was happening or how it was happening, my warranty period had just passed, since at this point I have owned the vehicle for over 3 years. I kept researching and found the article attached in pdf. I was able to complete the work myself. At this point I am now worried the interior will have rust, since the water would sit there for days/ weeks after it rains. I think this resolves the issue of getting the water...
DOORS FILL UP WITH RAIN WATER AND WATER IS SLOSHING AROUND INSIDE DOOR FRAME. NEED DOORS REPLACED DUE TO ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS BEING DAMAGED BY MOISTURE CORROSION.
Since March of 2022 I have noticed a sloshing sound from the driver's side door and both rear doors. The sound continues, especially when I break and when I open the doors. The vehicle has not been in any accident at all. I made an appointment specifically to get that looked at on April 11th, however, the Toyota dealership in Woodbridge, VA completely ignored my request and instead did an oil change, which was not needed, as one had already been done the month before. When I complained they said it would cost $150 to get a diagnosis test done first. From looking at T-SB-0121-20, that is the same issue I am experiencing.
Rear passenger door on left side of vehicle fills with water everytime it rains or vehicle is washed. This is causing the body to prematurely rust and it's also sloshing onto electrical components in door which I fear can cause unpredictable and unforseen components to fail. Also beginning to cause an odor on the interior of vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealership from which it was purchased and they simply pulled a rubber stopper from bottom of door and stated that was the only remedy approved and provided through Toyota. Since said remedy was applied door has plugged on three more occasions and was taken back to dealership on only one of the subsequent incidents at which time was told by a service personnel again that to pull the rubber stopper from bottom of door was their only means of repair. Which was also on the day of...
While driving my car it turned off and it was hard for me to turn and all my lights was hard to steer and all the lights on the dash board turned on and they was not turning off and I got in. A wreck by me not being able to turn and hit a bush and my car got total
I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND BY A SPEEDER IN WHICH CAUSED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGES TO MY VEHICLE. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS ADVISED WHEN PURCHASING THIS CAR THAT TOYOTA CONNECTS DETECTS CRASHES AND THAT THE EMERGENCY SYSTEM WOULD CALL THE CAR. UNFORTUNATELY, NOT ONLY DID THE AIRBAGS NOT DEPLOY BUT THE EMERGENCY SYSTEM DIDN'T NOT CALL THE VEHICLE AS I WAS ADVISED. MY VEHICLE HAS DEFECTS AND THE MANUFACTURER IS RESPONSIBLE. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE BRAND NEW THINKING IT COULD KEEP ME SAFE DRIVING. THE MANUFACTURER HAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED ME AND FAILED TO ADHERE TO VEHICLE SAFETY.
ON FIRST DAY OF PURCHASE WHEN I CAME OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY LEFT FENDER POPPED OUT .I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER THEY PUSHED THE FENDER BACK IN. THE NEXT DAY FENDER POPPED OUT AGAIN AND I RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR BEING UNSAFE TO BE DRIVING. DEALER TOOKED THA CAR BACK BUT KEPT MY $2772.84. THIS CAR IS A POORLY BUILT UNSAFE JUNK.
