WHILE DRIVING THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY THE LIGHT FOR THE ENGINE CAME ON AND THE CAR DIED. AFTER BEING TOWED IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE HEAD WAS BLOWN. AFTER REPLACING THE ENGINE THE LIGHT REMAINS ON AND NOW THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TRANSMISSION. THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A DEFECT IN A SENSOR FOR THE TRANSMISSION THAT KEEPS THESE PROBLEMS HAPPENING IN THIS VEHICLE.
POWER STEERING REPLACED, MANY TIRES REPLACED CONSTANTLY, TRANSMISSION REPLACED, TIMING BELT REPLACED, SEAT BELTS REPLACED, AIR BAGS ARE IN RECALL AND NEED TO BE REPLACED, HANDLES REPLACED, BAD PAINT CLIPPINGS ON OUTER HANDLES, CO2 SENSOR REPLACED, HEADLIGHT SWITCH RECALLED AND REPLACED, RANGE MOD SENSOR REPLACED TWICE, HEAD GASKET BROKEN.
TRANSMISSION WENT OUT AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP LIGHT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME HAVING TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAR. *TR
I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND STARTED TO DRIVE THE CAR WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN BUT MY CAR DID NOT WANT TO GO FORWARD, MY CAR PULLED. I HAD TO STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR WITH MORE PRESSURE FOR IT TO GO FORWARD. I FINALLY GOT TO A SAFE AREA AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I LEFT IT OFF FOR ABOUT THREE MINUTES THEN PROCEEDED TO TURN IT ON AND DROVE OFF, I NOTICE MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AT THAT POINT, AND DROVE TO MY MOTHERS HOME NEARBY WHERE MY BROTHER WHO IS AN AUTO TECH SCANNED MY CAR AND THE TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR CODE CAME UP. HELP IS THERE A RECALL ON THIS? *JS
THIS SUZUKI NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ALTOGETHER! NO ONE SHOULD STILL BE DRIVING THESE. NOT ONLY CAN THE HEADLIGHTS OR BRAKE LIGHT SENSOR SWITCHES GO BAD AND JUST STOP WORKING, THEY OVERHEAT, DRAIN THE BATTERY, OVERWORK THE ALTERNATOR, WHICH THEN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, THE FALL DISPLAYS EVERY GEAR ALL AT ONCE EVEN WHILE IN DRIVE AND DISPLAYING A SPEED THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELING. THE DOOR HANDLES BRAKE OFF, SO YOU CAN NOT ESCAPE THE DEATH TRAP. THEY HAVE BLOWN HEAD GASKET, MANY SMALL OIL LEAKS, TIRE PRESSURE GAGE PROBLEMS, TIRES/WHEELS WON'T ALIGN, THIS BALDS THE TIRE LOP SIDED SO TIRE BLOW OUTS OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY. INSTEAD OF CATCHING BACK UP TO SPEED IT TOOK A MINUTE TO REACH THE SPEED. AND SINCE THEN ITS BEEN VERY HARD TO DRIVE. PUT MY CAR IN R (REVERSE) ON A LEVEL DRIVEWAY AND IT MADE A CLUNKING SOUND AS IF IT WERE BEING FORCED. THE DASH GAVE A SIGNAL INSTEAD OF AN R FOR REVERSE, A SQUARE WITH A LINE THROUGH IT. AS I PUT IT INTO D (DRIVE) IT DRAGGED TO ACCELERATE. THE CHECK ENGINE LAMP CAME ON AND THE LOCAL MECHANIC SAID HIS COMPUTER READ TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR. HE SAID THE TRS AND THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER NEED TO BE CHANGED. THE CAR NEEDS A COUPLE OF MOTOR MOUNTS. THIS WILL EASILY COST ME OVER 800.00 INCLUDING LABOR. I JUST FINISHED HAVING THE TRANSMISSION COILS AND WIRES REPLACED ($350.00) HAVING JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE (USED) FROM A PRIVATE PARTY; MY CONCERNS ARE HIGH REGARDING SAFETY AND COSTS FOR REPAIRS. I AM THE OWNER OF A 2007 SUZUKI FORENZA. AS I WAS GETTING READY TO TRAVEL ACROSS A BRIDGE WHEN THE CAR APPEAR TO CHANGE GEARS EVEN THOUGH THE SHIFT WAS IN DRIVE. I IMMEDIATELY CHANGED THE SHIFT TO 3RD GEAR AND SLOWLY MADE MY WAY ACROSS THE BRIDGE. HAD THE CAR INSPECTED, I WENT WITH THE MECHANIC ON TEST DRIVE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. I HAD DEFECTIVE PLASTIC DOOR KNOBS THAT BROKE AND REPLACED WITH THE SAME TYPE DOOR KNOB BY THE DEALER AND CHARGED ME LABOR. REPLACED STRUT MOUNTS WITHIN THE LAST 9 MONTHS I HAVE REPLACED: TRANSMISSION, WATER PUMP, THE VALVE COVER GASKET 4 TIMES, THE VALVE COVER, THE RADIATOR, THE TIMING BELT, THE AC COMPRESSOR, FRONT AXLES, WHEEL BEARINGS, LOWER INTAKE MANIFOLD HOSE, AND IT IS STILL LEAKING ANTIFREEZE. THE CAR SEEM TO BE VERY HOT AND THE KEY IS VERY VERY HOT IN THE IGNITION. I ALSO NEED TO REPLACE THE FUEL ASSEMBLY........ I DEFINITELY WOULD LIKE TO BE INCLUDED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR I WILL DO MY OWN. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO THE CONSUMER TO PAY ALL THIS MONEY INTO KEEPING THIS CAR REPAIRED. I AM THE OWNER OF A 2007 SUZUKI FORENZA WITH A RECURRING TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR FAILURE. OUT OF THE 7 YEARS I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR EVERY 14 MONTHS LIKE CLOCKWORK. NO OTHER DEALER OTHER THAN AN AUTHORIZED SUZUKI DEALER IS ABLE TO REPLACE THE RANGE SENSOR. THE FAILURE CAUSES THE VEHICLE TO ABRUPTLY ENGAGE INTO NEUTRAL WITHOUT WARNING. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, I HAVE ATTEMPTED TO ACCELERATE FROM A COMPLETE STOP AND THE VEHICLE WOULD DRAG OR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 10 MPH. ON ONE INSTANCE, I WAS REAR-ENDED DUE TO THE FAILURE BUT LUCKILY NO ONE WAS INJURED. I BELIEVE THAT SUZUKI KNOWS THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THE SENSOR, WHICH IS A MAJOR PROBLEM FOR AN SUCH AN IMPORTANT COMPONENT ON THE VEHICLE. THIS COULD COST SOMEONE THEIR LIFE! AFTER BEING PARKED FOR A WHILE THE CAR JERKS WHEN I SHIFT TO REVERSE AS WELL AS MAKES SOME KIND OF CLUNKING SOUND. AFTERWARD, WHEN I SHIFT TO DRIVE, THERE IS A MARKED DELAY PRIOR TO ACCELERATION. THIS HAPPENED FOR WEEKS WITHOUT A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT INDICATOR ON. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL ONLY OCCUR WHEN REVERSING. MECHANIC SAID THE ISSUE (P0700 AND P0705) INDICATES A TRANSMISSION SENSOR ISSUE WHICH IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF SUZUKI MESSAGE FORUMS AND OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THIS ISSUE ON THE INTERNET. I CONTACTED SUZUKI AMERICAN HEADQUARTERS AND THEY CLAIM TO HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS ISSUE. WHEN TURNING MY CAR ON AND PUTTING IT INTO REVERSE, THE CAR SUDDENLY JERKED AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE "R" SHOULD APPEAR FOR REVERSE ON THE DASH, BUT ALL THE LETTERS ("P", "R", "D", ETC) WERE SCRAMBLED TOGETHER. THE CAR DROVE IN REVERSE AND WHEN I PUT IT INTO DRIVE, IT JERKED AGAIN AND THEN WOULD HARDLY ACCELERATE. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE MY CAR JERKED AND SLOWED SPEED. I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED. I THEN TRIED TO ACCELERATE AND IT DRUG. I BROUGHT A BRAND NEW 2007 SUZUKI FORENZA IN 2007 AND SINCE THEN HAVE HAD PROBLEMS EVER SINCE. IN THE FIRST WEEK I BROUGHT IT THE TIMING BELT HAD BROKE.
