2019 RAM PROMASTER Unknown Or Other Problems

The subject vehicle, according to the third party administrator for the vehicle's insurance co. had a transmission malfunction. The vehicle is owned by a subcontractor for the purpose of delivery for a seller. The vehicle, according to the TPA, was put in park and the emergency brake was applied, as shown by the interior video camera, and the vehicle went in reverse while the employee was in the back of the van, getting the order ready to deliver. The vehicle travelled in reverse approximately 90 feet down a 40 degree grade, making a left turn into my yard, and slammed into my side porch, making a very loud noise as if there was an explosion. There is a known defect of the windshield cowl and compartment not being water tight. The defective cowl and compartment cause water to leak into the engine bay, which saturates the engine and various components. The defect resulted in the crankshaft position sensor getting wet. The wet sensor caused the engine to stall WHILE DRIVING, which resulted in loss of power steering and power brakes.

I received notice of a recall in June 2023. I contacted every nearby dealership in my area. None of the company service centers was able to complete the recall service. Because my vehicle has been converted into a motorhome (by a RAM approved upfitter), it is heavier that the standard vehicle and they told me they do not have the proper equipment to complete the anticipated repairs. I called the RAM custom service center and they were unable to locate a dealership to help me and unwilling to authorize reimbursement if I had the repairs completed by another qualified mechanic. After postponing any more follow-up, I received a second recall notice just recently. I again called the same dealers hoping to find a capable service center. Rear view camera is upside down. Flipped by it self. Can't find any fix on it

The Carefree motorized awning self-deployed at highway speeds (approximately 45 mph). The vinyl awning material sheared from the metal end bar deploying it as a flying projectile. One of the support bars broke and slammed into the side of the van/RV.

House AGM battery charging system Hydrogen Sulfide out gassing issue. CO alarm trips while charging from shore power connection. Xantrex XC 2000 Inverter charger is improperly located directly on top of the 330Ah AGM battery. System is located in a sealed bed base platform with limited ventilation. My 2021 Coachmen Nova is out of OEM warranty. The vehicle has not been inspected by Coachmen or dealership. I'm aware of other Owner's having similar issues with at least one catastrophic battery failure.

THE DESIGN IN THE CAB AND PLACEMENT OF THE CUP HOLDERS CREATE A SAFETY HAZARD. THE CUP HOLDERS ARE RIGHT NEAR THE FLOOR CAUSING THE DRIVER TO REMOVE THEIR EYES FROM THE ROAD TO GET THEIR CUP, AND EVEN A SPLIT SECOND WITH YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THEY NEED TO RAISE THE CUP HOLDERS ON THE DASHBOARD AREA AND FRONT OF THE VEHICLE HIGHER FOR SAFETY. REACHING DOWN IS EQUALLY AS DANGEROUS AS TEXTING AND DRIVING AT THE SAME TIME. IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE SOMEONE REACHES DOWN FOR THEIR CUP AND HAS AN ACCIDENT WITH THE POOR DESIGN AND PLACEMENT OF THE CUP HOLDERS. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET BECAUSE I RECOGNIZE THE DANGER OF THE DESIGN AND PLACEMENT AND WILL NOT USE THAT VEHICLE FEATURE UNTIL THEY FIND A WAY TO CORRECT IT.
