2014 RAM 3500 Electronic Stability Control Esc Problems

The contact owns a 2014 Ram 3500. The contact stated that while driving 50 MPH, the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and brake assist warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The dealer informed the contact that the ABS module was under engineering review and there was no estimated availability date for availability. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 63,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 55 MPH, THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC) WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE DASHBOARD AND THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO CONTROL. THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER BUT HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS ABOUT 62,000.

HAS SEVERE DEAD PEDAL. IF I HAVE TO LET OFF THE GAS PEDAL FOR A SECOND TO MERGE INTO TRAFFIC THEN GIVE IT GAS AGAIN IT FALLS ON IT'S FACE AND DOESN'T MOVE OR DO ANYTHING AT ALL FOR UP TO 5 SECONDS. HAS ALMOST CAUSED 4 CRASHES.
