Recall 23V407000 — STRUCTURE
| 5 vehicles affected
Defect: Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2016-2022 Ascendant 107' Aerials and 110' Platforms mounted on single rear axle Enforcer chassis. The galvanized stabilizer beams may develop cracks.
Consequence: Cracks can cause instability when an aerial ladder or platform is elevated, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and replace the galvanized stabilizer beams as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 14, 2023. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

The contact owns a 2021 Pierce Manufacturing Aerial. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact discovered that several bolts on the vehicle's chassis were loose and detached. The failure occurred on several different occasions. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle remained at the residence however, an independent mechanic diagnosed that the bolts needed to be screwed once again. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

This product enhancement for the new top rear body crossmember and rear catwalks for the 100’ AAT allows for easier access to the torque box mounting bolts that require quarterly inspections.
