Speed Control, Engine and Transmission issues: After the recall from the manufacture was issued for the the acceleration problems this car still takes long to accelerate and get the car going. It feels like the transmission/ and or engine is ready to go out also and this car is only roughly at 80,000 miles. This car is well maintained.

I feel something is wrong when I step on the accelerator and the rpm scale shakes while driving. My car started jolting forward when trying to shift gears (automatic transmission). once i hit 100,000 miles. Then one day while in the drive thru I put my foot to the petal and it rolled forward with no true power to it. This happened again today after turning right at a light with oncoming traffic! I almost got hit! I am going to a mechanic tomorrow but came here and see 69 other people with SAME problem from the SAME year/model/make! This is a manufacturing issue, I literally only drive to and from work, no long trips, no racing around, etc. Please help!

My 2013 Nissan Versa has 80,000 miles. Since the car had 72,000 the transmission started to lurch forward while coming to a stop. This lurch has pushed me out into traffic on at least 5 times. As you come to a stop, and you think you are stopping it lunges forward placing others at serious risk. I must be very cautious when approaching sidewalks where pedestrians may be as well as oncoming traffic. The transmission also stalls and loses power when trying to accelerate. When I pull out sometimes the car does not move and will hesitate before it goes. This is extremely dangerous when pulling into oncoming traffic. The transmission "CVT" is a danger to people and should be replaced.

I was accelerating onto a highway speed increasing to highway speed and suddenly (in front of a tractor trailer moving at least 70mph) vehicle lost power began to shudder. We had a vehicle right on our bumper. The truck that had trouble changing lanes bearing down on us vehicle began to gain power and then lost it again. Car won’t accelerate past 25mph and is very loud. I took it to a Nissian dealer service center and they told me that they can’t get the code to come up for a transmission but they think that’s the problem. However, the Nissans that came out in 2013 with my make and model had bad transmissions and Nissan won’t help or cover the transmission expenses that existed at the time of manufacturing.

WHILE ON CRUISE CONTROL GOING UPHILL IT WILL REV UP AND MAKE OUT ON RPMS AND I HAVE TO TURN OFF CRUISE CONTROL. AT ONE POINT GETTING ON THE HIGHWAY IT HAD NO POWER LIKE IT WAS IN NEUTRAL AND WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED. I STILL AM HAVE SHIFTING ISSUE.

RECENTLY THE CAR WAS CHECKED AGAIN BY MY MECHANIC AND IT WAS FOUND IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION THAT WAS AT FAULT. A FEW TIMES WITH THE CAR IN PARK HAD SEVERE TREMORS TOO. NOW WITH 75,000 MILES THE CAR IS HAVING STRONG JERKS WHEN BEING PUT I TO REVERSE. ALSO, WHEN ACCELERATING I NEED TO LET OFF THE GAS AND ALLOW THE TRANSMISSION TIME TO CHANGE GEAR.

I WENT TO A TRANSMISSION HAD A FLUID EXCHANGE DONE AND THE FLUID TURNED TO A DARK LOOKING OIL ALMOST SIMILAR TO MOTOR OIL . THE TRANSMISSION CONTINUES TO MALFUNCTION ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGH SPEED AND ON CITY ROAD AT LOWER SPEEDS. THE QUALITY OF MY DRIVE TRAIN DECLINED TO TO THE POINT OF NO LONGER RUNNING. THE TRANSMISSION IS NOT WANTING TO CATCH THE GEARS TO MAKE IT DRIVE.

I WAS ABOUT TO PULL OUT OF A PARKING LOT, I CHANGED MY GEAR FROM PARKED TO DRIVE AND AS I STARTED TO DRIVE OUT, I NOTICED MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AGAIN AND MY CAR JERKED BACK AND FORTH A COUPLE OF TIMES AS I STARTED TO ACCELERATE. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, BUT USUALLY THE CAR ONLY JERKS FOR A SECOND WHENEVER I CHANGE GEARS.

I HAVE HAD A JUDDERING AND DELAYED ACCELERATION ISSUE SINCE REACHING 50,000 MILES HAD IT CHECKED BY THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD NO ISSUE COULD BE FOUND. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE TIRES. SINCE THEN THE JUDDERING AND LOW DELAYED ACCELERATION JUST GOT WORSE. WENT TO THE DEALER AGAIN AND THEY REPROGRAMMED THE TCM TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE? SINCE THE TCM WAS REPROGRAMMED I HAVE HAD 2 OCCASIONS WHEN ACCELERATING TO GO ON THE HIGHWAY WHERE THE RPMS JUMPED UP TO 5000 AND OVER WITH NO POWER (HIGH RPMS AND NO POWER). I HAD TO PULL OVER COME TO COMPLETE STOP AND UNTIL THE RPMS WOULD COME DOWN. ALSO EVERY TIME WHEN GOING UP HILLS BIG OR SMALL THE VEHICLE'S RPMS JUMP UP AND BARLEY MAKES IT UP THE HILL. (HIGH RPMS AND NO POWER) THIS VEHICLE IS AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO KILL ME OR SOMEONE ELSE. THE DEALER INSPECTED IT...

CAR WAS PARKED IN A PARKING SPOT. IT WAS ABLE TO MOVE IN REVERSE; HOWEVER, WHEN IN 'DRIVE' NO POWER/GAS WAS GOING TO THE VEHICLE. WE HAD IT TOWED TO A SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD VEHICLE NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION.

TRANSMISSION SLIPS STALLS SHUDDERS AND WON'T PULL AWAY FROM STOP LIGHT AT TIMES ALSO ON ACCELERATION IT HESITATED BADLY

WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED MY VEHICLE (NEW) IN 2012 FOR THE 2013 NISSAN VERSA, I NOTICED THAT WHEN TAKING OFF AT A RED LIGHT, THE ENGINE/TRANS SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS A HESITATING TO GO. I MENTIONED THIS TO THE SERVICE GUY WHEN I WENT IN FOR MY FIRST OIL CHANGE, HE SAID THAT IT'S BECAUSE IT A CVT TRANSMISSION. ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO OR SO, THE CAR WOULD JERK WHEN TAKING OFF AT 20MPH AND THE RPM NEEDLE WOULD GO UP AND DOWN AS I ACCELERATE TO GO FASTER, I'VE TAKEN THIS CAR FOR OIL CHANGES AND KEPT UP WITH THE RECOMMENDED SERVICES. I'VE HAD THE TRANS OIL CHANGED AND IT STILL DOES THIS ESPECIALLY GOING ON THE EXPRESSWAY. THE CAR HESITATES TO GO, AND NOW I READ THAT THERE ARE MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUES JUST LIKE I DO. 2013 NISSAN VERSA STRUGGLES TO TURN ON. CAR ALSO IDLES ROUGH AND HAS STALLED AT STOP LIGHTS. TOOK IT TO BUENA PARK NISSAN AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. RECENTLY THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, IT WAS P0705 TRANSMISSION RANGE SENSOR.
