Bought vehicle I’m second owner it was sold as is from a dealership with airbag lights on after a certain amount miles check engine light came on said I had e -regular voltage to fuel injectors 1 gear started slipping then loss of power when accelerating next revolutionary trans-sensor went and now when I start the vehicle the A/T ECU Fuse keeps blowing out and the radiator coolant has transmission fluid mixing into it.
This is.my 2nd time replacing it the oil is mixing with the anti freeze because the radiator has a hole in it another recall problem for nissan
Contamination from the radiator mixed with the transmission cooler. The car is now inoperable due to this design flaw. This causes the transmission to be extremely sluggish and unresponsive when run, oftentimes the engine won't start or crank due to a blown fuse related to this issue. The slow acceleration causes safety issues when pulling out into traffic. The vehicle was inspected by a licensed Illinois auto rebuilder. The four-wheel-drive indicator is stuck to on although the vehicle is in two-wheel drive and service engine light appeared.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT UPON PLACING HER VEHICLE INTO REVERSE, THE VEHICLE SHUT-OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS. THE CONTACT AND HER SON EXITED THE VEHICLE, TO MANUALLY STOP THE VEHICLE FROM ROLLING BACK AND HITTING A BUILDING. THE CONTACT THEN HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHERE THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE ENGINE COIL BLOCK HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE STARTED TO OVERHEAT AT START-UP. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT UNDISCLOSED SPEEDS, THERE WAS WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE WHILE THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHOWED A HIGH ENGINE TEMPERATURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HER THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,500.
FAULTY RADIATOR. LEAKING COOLANT INTO MY TRANSMISSION. NOTICED LOSING COOLANT AND SMELLED RADIATOR FLUID AFTER DRIVING. DID RESEARCH ON THE PROBLEM WAS ABLE TO FIND THE FAULTY RADIATOR PART NUMBER WHICH HAPPENED TO MATCH THE ONE I HAD.

JUST BOUGHT AND CHECKED THE ANITFREEZE TO FIND A THICK SLUDGE IN THE RADIATOR AND OVERFLOW. SMELLS LIKE OIL
PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WENT ON LAST NIGHT WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 35MPH ENGINE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY, NO POWER NO LIGHTS. IT HAD SHUT OFF ON ME ABOUT 1 WEEK AGO IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING

TAMARA RECALL. VEHICLE IN MOTION 60MPH JUMPED FROM 2WD TO 4WD AUTOMATICALLY. VEHICLE THEN LOCKED IN 5TH GEAR. MECHANIC STATED RADIATOR FLUID MIXED WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID, THEN BOTH CONTROL MODULES EXPIRED. VEHICLE WILL NOT START OR CRANK.
MY 2008 NISSAN PATHFINDER HAD TRANSMISSION ISSUES AND WAS REPLACED TWICE IN 2017. I BROUGHT TO THE NISSAN AUTHORIZED DEALER FIRST FOR A THUMBING SOUND WHEN PUSHING GAS PEDAL AFTER TAKING THE FOOT OFF. WHEN IT WORSENED THEY SAID IT WAS THE CALIPERS AND CHANGED MY CALIPERS FOR $2000. BUT THE THUMBING SOUND PERSISTED. AFTER A FEW MONTHS THEY SAID IT WAS TRANSMISSION ISSUE AND THEY CHANGED THE TRANSMISSION TWICE. THE THUMBING SOUND PERSISTED WHENEVER THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN ABOVE 40 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THE SOUND GOT WORSE. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND THEY FOUND BROKEN METAL PIECES IN THE REAL AXLE BOX. I CALLED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY SAID THEY CANNOT HELP SINCE THERE IS NO RECALL. I SEE SIMILAR INCIDENTS REPORTED BY CONSUMERS IN THE INTERNET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE LOCAL DEALER (MOSSY NISSAN NATIONAL CITY, 2700 NATIONAL CITY BLVD, NATIONAL CITY, CA 91950, 619-474-7011) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,697.
I AM HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CAR SLIPPING GEARS. I TOOK IT TO A REPUTABLE TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP WHERE I WAS INFORMED THERE IS A "CRACK" IN THE COOLING PART OF MY RADIATOR AND MY RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION AND BOTH NEED REPLACED. ALSO THAT THE RADIATOR FLUID AND THE TRANSMISSION FLUID ARE MIXED TOGETHER.
I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP WITH 109,000 MILES ON IT. NOT EVEN A MONTH AFTER BUYING IT, THE INTERCOOLER LINE CRACKED CAUSING THE TRANSMISSION FLUID AND COOLANT TO MIX. THIS COMPLETELY DESTROYED MY RADIATOR, WHICH I HAD TO REPLACE, ALONG WITH FLUSHING THE ENTIRE COOLING SYSTEM. IT ALSO CAUSED MY TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. TO REPAIR MY CAR WILL COST ME ABOUT $5,000. I WENT TO NISSAN ABOUT THIS AND WAS TOLD THEY COULD NOT HELP ME BECAUSE THE CAR HAS OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT. I WAS ABLE TO TEMPORARILY FIX IT, BUT NOW MY TRANSMISSION IS COMPLETELY JUNK AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO FIX IT OR GIVE IT BACK TO THE BANK. ALL OF THESE ISSUES OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE.

REPAIR SHOP QUOTED US FOR RADIATOR REPLACEMENT AND TRANSMISSION SERVICE BUT WARNED IF THE TRANSMISSION WAS TOO CONTAMINATED IT COULD NEED A WHOLE REPLACEMENT OF THAT AS WELL. UPON SEARCHING ONLINE FOR THIS ISSUE WE FOUND IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM FOR NISSAN PATHFINDERS OF THIS AGE AND WITH THIS RADIATOR TYPE. IT CAN CAUSE THE TRANSMISSION TO SEIZE UP WHILE DRIVING AND RENDER THE CAR UNABLE TO BE CONTROLLED.
WHEN THE CAR WAS PUT IN REVERSE OR PARK THE GEAR CHANGE STARTED TO BECOME DELAYED AND ROUGH THIS LATER PROGRESSED TO A LACK OF POWER WHILE DRIVING. THIS PARTICULAR YEAR AND MAKE OF VEHICLE HAS A KNOWN MANUFACTURERS DEFECT THAT CAUSES THE TRANSMISSION FLUID TO MIX IN WITH THE RADIATOR, WHICH IN TURN RUINS YOUR VEHICLE AND CAUSES ABOUT $5,000+ IN REPAIRS. A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT WAS SETTLED REGARDING THIS, AND ALL NISSAN DID WAS EXTEND THEIR WARRANTY. HOWEVER, APPARENTLY I ONLY QUALIFY FOR A CO/PAY OF $3,000 ON A VEHICLE VALUED AT TOPS, $7,500. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WOULD HAVE NEVER PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE, HAD I KNOWN THIS WAS AN ISSUE....
OUR 2008 PATHFINDER LOST ALL POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, CAUSING OTHERS CARS TO SWERVE TO MISS HITTING US. AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS WE WERE ABLE TO REGAIN A LITTLE BIT OF SPEED ( ABOUT 30 MPH) TO BE ABLE TO PULL OFF THE FREEWAY AND HEAD DOWN AN EXIT RAMP. I RECENTLY FOUND OUT FROM A LOCAL NISSAN SERVICE SPECIALIST THAT MY VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR THIS AND AS A RESULT OF OCTOBER 2012 CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT SETTLED BY COURT AND NISSAN CORP. I AM ATTEMPTING TO HAVE NISSAN HELP ME WITH SOME OF RECENTLY MENTIONED FINANCIAL IMPACT REGARDING THEIR WELL KNOWN DEFECT.

2008 NISSAN PATHFINDER. TRANSMISSION FAILED DUE TO RADIATOR FAILURE WHICH CAUSED CONTAMINATION OF THE COOLING AND TRANSMISSION FLUIDS. ENGINE OVERHEATED DUE TO CONTAMINATION.
