TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR CONDITIONER ONLY FUNCTIONED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL SHOP, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE COMPRESSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED EIGHT MONTHS LATER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 68,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 87,000.

THIS IS THE FOURTH YEAR IN A ROW THAT I HAD TO REFILL THE AIR CONDITIONING A/C ON THE TRUCK, I TALKED TO MANY MECHANICS, AND THEY ALL TOLD ME THAT NISSAN TRUCKS HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, THAT ONE OF THE A/C HOSES WERE DEFECTED, AND THAT THE FREEON , A/C GAS LEAKED FROM THERE. *AK
