2019 NISSAN ALTIMA Vehicle Speed Control Problems

My car since 45000 miles has had an acceleration issue. When I engage the gas pedal, 3- 5 seconds pass before the vehicle moves. Once moving, the engine will stutter or slightly jerk forward and backwards, almost to a stalling point. The safety issue is the potential for accident as cars may collide with me from the side or rear not seeing the issue I’m having. Dealership refuses to fix telling me not to bring it in until a check engine light is on. There is electrical malfunctions happening in my car as I near 100k miles still having this issue. In research, many if not all Altima owners are reporting this acceleration issue, there are countless, so much so, the talk is wondering why no recall has been issued. I have bought this vehicle Oct/Nov of 2023 , from private dealer on at least three occasions I have experienced the vehicle automatically speeding up without stepping on the gas pedal. I had to hold down the braking system and pulling over to avoid an accident. Although , I've quickly placed the vehicle on neutral the engine was still revving . I then powered off vehicle for a few minutes and restarted to learn the vehicle continued to rev on park mode. I then waited at least 10 minutes and then vehicle resorted back to normal state. There was no warning lamps presented. I will be bring this issue to the dealer attention and see whether the vehicle can be serviced; As I do not feel safe.

while driving in traffic with the adaptive cruise control on, the system indicated a sensor malfunction. This is a well-known occurrence for these vehicles as reported on numerous Nissan sites and other websites. This failure can present a safety hazard if the warning comes with little time to react to traffic conditions.

When the cruise control is on and I push on the brake to merge lanes or because a vehicle in front of me stops, the car continues to accelerate and gets stuck in acceleration the RPMs go up wildly.

The front radar distance sensor becomes blocked and unavailable while driving. This happens every time I drive the car. Several times the warning message came on and the car tried to briefly brake. I took my car into the Nissan dealership and they confirmed the sensor has failed and recommends replacement. This is a known issue with Several models of Nissan cars per NHTSA NTB19-033A. This has been happening in my car for about two weeks. I took it in to the dealership as soon as I could after noticing the problem. I believe my car was built at the end of 2018 and has this faulty sensor reference in NHTSA NTB19-033A or clearly they have not rectified the problem fully. I think 2019 vehicles should be added to the recall.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING ARE DISABLED DUE TO "FRONT RADAR BLOCKED". THIS IS A BRAND NEW VEHICLE I HAVE HAD FOR ABOUT TWO WEEKS (LESS THAN 1,000 MILES). AFTER DOING SOME INTERNET RESEARCH, THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE WITH NISSAN VEHICLES SINCE 2018. I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN LATE 2018. THE ISSUE WAS FIRST NOTICED WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND I KEPT GETTING CLOSER TO THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME WITHOUT MY VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY SLOWING DOWN (I.E., THE CAR MAINTAINED THE CRUISE CONTROL SET SPEED.) AFTER MANUALLY BRAKING AND RESETTING THE CRUISE CONTROL, THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD EVENTUALLY SHUT OFF AND THE ATTACHED MESSAGE WOULD BE DISPLAYED. PRIOR TO THE ISSUE BEING OBSERVED (APPROX. FIRST 500 MILES DRIVEN), THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING WORKED FINE.

I OWN A 2019 NISSAN ALTIMA AWD AND HAVE EXPERIENCED A FEW PROBLEMS. THE MOST SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM IS THE DEFECTIVE FORWARD COLLISION SAFETY FEATURE. TWO TIMES THE VEHICLE HAS IMPROPERLY AND ABRUPTLY APPLIED BRAKES, THE FEATURE IS INTENDED TO AVOID COLLISION, BUT INSTEAD ITS MALFUNCTION IS CREATING ROAD HAZARDS. I CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY HAVE EVADED ME AND EVERYTIME I CALL THEY SAY YOU HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED A CASE AND SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU SOON. I ATTEMPTED TO SERVICE THE VEHICLE TWO TIMES THIS WEEK AT TWO DIFFERENT NISSAN DEALERSHIPS. ONE TURNED ME AWAY STATING IT'S A KNOWN PROBLEM AND NISSAN DOES NOT HAVE A FIX YET. THE SECOND NISSAN DEALERSHIP WAS IN THE PROCESS OF ISSUING ME AN ALTERNATE VEHICLE WHEN THEY RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE SAME FOLKS WHO WON'T RETURN MY CALL NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS INSTRUCTING THE DEALER NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICE OR A LOANER....

TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2019 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING UNDER 30 MPH, A RED LIGHT FLASHED FOR THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY STOPPED. THE FAILURE CAUSED THE DRIVER AND FRONT PASSENGER SEATS TO JERK FORWARD. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN HOME AND PARKED DUE TO THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO PROPERLY ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE. THE CONTACT HAD TO CHECK THE COMPONENT TO ENSURE WHETHER IT WAS ON OR OFF. ALSO, THE EMERGENCY WARNING INDICATED FLASHED INTERMITTENTLY MORE THAN ONCE AND A CLUNKING NOISE WAS HEARD WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO NISSAN 112 (730 MEDFORD AVE, PATCHOGUE, NY 11772, (631) 651-1987), BUT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THERE WAS NO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE PRESENT.
