TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THREE UNKNOWN RECALLS. WHILE THE CONTACT'S FRIEND WAS DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED AND ATTEMPTING TO STOP, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DRIVER'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED MORRIE'S BROOKLYN PARK NISSAN AT 612-426-5487 (LOCATED AT 7875 BROOKLYN BLVD, BROOKLYN PARK, MN 55445) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT APPROVE THE REPAIR UNDER THE WARRANTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO CLEAR EXPLANATION FOR THE MANUFACTURER'S DECISION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SELLER (CORNERSTONE PLYMOUTH, 763-559-5300, LOCATED AT 3901 VINEWOOD LN N, PLYMOUTH, MN 55441) WHO CONNECTED WITH THE THIRD PARTY WARRANTY COMPANY AND REPAIRED THE VEHICLE. ADDITIONALLY, WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A CAR WASH IN JULY OF...
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 NISSAN ALTIMA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WINDOW LOWERED APPROXIMATELY 3/4 DOWN AUTOMATICALLY AND THE DOOR ERRONEOUSLY UNLOCKED AND OPENED. THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE FAILURE ALSO OCCURRED WHEN LOWERING THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR WINDOW FROM BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND REAR PASSENGER DOOR. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.
