DASHBOARD CRACKS ON MY 1997 MERCEDES E420 SEDAN. CRACKS HAVE BEEN APPARENT FOR 18 MONTHS; DEALER AND REGIONAL SERVICE REP DECLINE TO REPLACE/REPAIR. SIMILAR CRACKS HAVE BEEN WIDELY REPORTED IN MERCEDES E-CLASS SEDANS IN MODEL YEARS 96-00. CRACKS ARE AROUND PASSENGER AIRBAG DOOR. WONDER IF THIS COMPROMISES THE AIRBAG SYSTEM IN ANY WAY? *NLM
