The contact stated while driving approximately 60 MPH, while making a lane adjustment to the left, the automated lane departure system overcorrected the steering to the right. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent however, the failure had begun to occur at slower speeds. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the steering shaft needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired.
