Starting from a stop in a residential neighborhood, stepped on the gas to go and turn left and the vehicle hesitated and lacked power. It almost felt like it was trying to start from a stop in too high of a gear, but this is a 6 speed automatic vehicle. After panicking a little, backing off the accelerator pedal and stepping on it again, power came back so I could complete the turn. If there were other cars coming straight through the intersection, I would have been hit. Informed my local dealer about it and that the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid has a service bulletin (T-SB-0017-24) to address this very issue I encountered and that the Lexus TX500h has a similar drivetrain set up, but was told Lexus has no such service bulletin to address this issue. When I shift my car to get it in gear the knob comes unscrewed and have difficulty getting the car back to drive. This happens especially when putting it in neutral for a car wash. The knob is not securely tightened and if you try to tighten it is not in the correct position. It happens frequently and has almost caused an accident several times.
