All Forward Collision Avoidance Warnings Complaints
The contact owns a 2017 Lexus ES350. The contact stated that while in reverse and slowly reversing into a parking space, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and crashed into a tree. The contact indicated that the unintended acceleration occurred while pressing the brake pedal and also the crash avoidance safety features did not activate. No injuries were reported and no police report was taken. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer and to a local body shop repair center. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 7,500.
