Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle hesitated while depressing the accelerator pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that there was an alarm related to the battery that was sounded. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V741000 (Electrical System); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, where a software update was performed on several occasions; however, the failure worsened. The message "Check Electrical System" was displayed, and the check engine warning light and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the high-voltage battery needed to be replaced. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle lost motive power with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed high voltage battery pack software failure. The contact was informed that the battery pack assembly had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts not being available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000. The VIN was not available.
