On multiple occasions, the transmission does not respond to gear changes such as moving from drive to reverse or park into drive. On those occasions, the D for drive would be blinking. More concerning and very dangerous is a lack of propulsion mid drive, the transmission would not go into gear. The engine would rev high, and it would not move forward, except by whatever momentum it originally had. This has happened to me on at least four occasions two of which I was in the left lane of three and four lane wide streets with cars passing me at high speed on the right. I needed to pull over turn the car off and then on again, which is the only way that the transmission would start working again. Sometimes the transmission would be jerky, especially after those incidents. crossing three and four lanes while people are going 50...
The current recall is unable to happen as it has to be over 50 degrees. This is the second major recall in under one year. I have had issues with the radio, apple car play, the engine dying while in park and idling. Additionally, the vehicle suddenly lost power while driving it at 65 mph on a major highway when trying to pass. The only answers I get is the lemon law. This vehicle is not safe, the dealer has only offered for me to trade out of it into something extremely higher of payment. I am requesting a dealer buyback due to major safety concerns. This vehicle should not even be on the market. The acceleration issues continue and I am DONE!
My 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee PHEV is subject to Safety Recall 78C/NHTSA 25V-766 for ENGINE FIRES caused by sand contamination in the 2.0L engine that can cause "catastrophic engine failure" and "vehicle fire. On January 9, 2026, I took my vehicle to Stewart Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM in Colma, CA. While other recalls were serviced, I was informed that Recall 78C could not be completed because remedy parts are unavailable. Following the dealership’s advice, I contacted Jeep Customer Care (1-800-334-9200). I was told the vehicle is safe to drive despite no expected resolution date for the repair. Furthermore, my request for a rental vehicle was denied unless I paid out of pocket. My car leasing company, Stellantis’ own notice states this defect creates an "increased risk of occupant injury" due to fires. It is unacceptable to be forced to choose between driving a known fire hazard with my infant child...
Vehicle engine shutoff while driving which led to no acceleration. No warning lamps prior to failure. It just completely shutoff and on the message center it stated how to start the vehicle as if it was not already started and running. I was in electric mode.
This recalled vehicle cannot be driven safely. No remedy is available. I am paying for a lease. I cannot use and requesting federal assistance for a lease termination or replacement..
The car has a strange thump when driving around 70-75. This is always and the dealer says it’s normal, which is not true! This weird thump is now happening at lower speeds and also a weird shuddering at speeds around 25-40. Shudders are more random Also starting at about 8-10,000 miles randomly while driving highway speeds 70-75 the vehicle shudders /vibrates for about 20 seconds and then stops. I do not use lane assist so it’s not that. It feels like when you run over the rumble sticks on the highway but amplified x20. Also since almost purchase I have had several alignments because the car continuously pulls to the left. In Florida the roads crown to the right for rain water run off. If anything the car should pull to the right but it pulls to the left consistently even right after an alignment. Other complaints I’ve made are...
I was driving down the rode going 30 miles per hour and my vehicle turned off. I lost all power.
The contact owns a 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that while driving 68-69 MPH, the vehicle unexpectedly decelerated to 11 MPH and went into LIMP Mode, shifted to park, and then shut off unintendedly. The vehicle coasted off the highway safely. The gear shifter was not in park, and the message "Auto Park not Engaged" was displayed. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The vehicle was previously towed to the local dealer, where it was determined that the START/STOP button needed to be replaced. The DTCs retrieved were: B1A70-09, B1A70-2A, and B1A7D01. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case. The failure mileage was approximately 5,781.
The current recall with loss of propulsion occurred in my vehicle on 10/16/2025 at 5:10pm while I was on the highway during rush hour. Thankfully I didn’t get injured, this is so dangerous. I’m afraid to drive this vehicle in fear of it occurring again.
Vehicle stalls and loses all power while driving. Vehicle comes to an abrupt halt.
I've received a notification that says, “service hybrid electric system,” but there is no fix at my dealership.
I was driving within a city and came to a red light. Since my car is a hybrid (2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, also I just purchased this lease in April 2025) the car will switch to the EV battery when I come to a halt and when I propel forward the car will either remain on the EV battery (if the battery has mile range) or it will switch to the engine. As the light turned green and i pushed the pedal to move forward, my car began to move forward using the EV battery but when the car attempted to switch to the engine, it tripped and my car would not move forward at all (this all occurred in the middle of traffic). I attempted to restart my car and my car would turn on but my engine would not start / my dash kept instructing to push...
