The START/STOP warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the head gasket had failed, causing coolant intrusion into the engine. The contact was informed that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
