I have 2 issues with this vehicle issue#1 the tire pressure sensor acts up on the front driver side tire pressure goes down to the low 20s then when driving it goes up to 43 and then back down to the 20s , the other is that I was driving from Pennsylvania to New York and the car stalled in New Jersey with no warning I was at the far left side of the highway and came close to getting rear ended twice real bad (my girlfriend who was and is pregnant) was on the passenger seat was hysterically crying because of how close we came to having an accident that would’ve cost us our lives , the car took 5 minutes to start again and we were escorted to safety by tow company that saw us through the cameras they have on the bridges very thankful to them escorting...
MY VEHICLE HAS DECIDED TO START BOGGING AROUND 35MPH. IT HAS CONTINUALLY DONE THIS FOR A WEEK AND HAS DECIDED TO START DRIVING HORRIBLE. IT DOES NOT DRIVE LIKE IT HAS BEEN. WE ARE GOING TO CHECK WHAT THE PROBLEM MIGHT BE SUNDAY (7/7/2019) AND ATTEMPT TO FIX. MY JEEP IS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY.
CORROSION ON THE HUBS OF ALL THE WHEELS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR JUST ABOUT 1 YEAR AFTER PURCHASING IT BRAND NEW. THIS IS NOT JUST A PROBLEM WITH MY JEEP. I HAVE NOTICED ON MANY JEEPS IN MY AREA. IT IS NOT AN ISSUE THAT THE WARRANTY COVERS DESPITE BEING A NEW CAR. THIS SEEMS LIKE A MANUFACTURE ISSUE.
SINCE PURCHASING MY 2012 JEEP GC, LUGNUTS HAVE BECOME LOOSE AND AT TIMES FALL OFF THE STUD WHILE DRIVING. REGARDLESS OF HOW WELL, OR HOW MANY TIMES THE LUG NUTS ARE TORCHED DOWN, THEY BECOME LOOSE AND FALL OFF. I HAVE REPLACED OVER 5 WHEEL STUDS BECAUSE THEY BREAK OFF UNDER PRESSURE AND TWICE AS MANY LUG NUTS AT $12 A PIECE. EACH REPAIR HAS COST ME OVER $150 A VISIT FOR STUD REPAIR. WHILE MOVING FROM MINNESOTA TO CALIFORNIA, MY LUG NUTS BECAME SO LOOSE ON MY WHEEL THE WHEEL ALMOST FELL OFF GOING 80 MPH. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM. MY VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 85,000 MILES ON IT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO VIBRATE. SHORTLY AFTER THE VIBRATION OF THE WHEELS, THE REAR PASSENGER WHEEL DETACHED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING; HOWEVER, THE DETAILS OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED AT THE TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 65 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN UNUSUAL NOISE COMING FROM THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE THEN BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE THERE WERE SEVERAL REAR BOLTS ON THE REAR BASE OF THE TIRE AXLE FLANGE THAT WERE LOOSE AND SOME HAD FRACTURED OFF THE BASE FLANGE. THE DEALER REPLACED ALL THE TIRE BOLTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT HE HAD RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V115000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) BUT THE PART AS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT FELT THEY EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,000.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V115000 (EQUIPMENT, TIRES) AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED WAS UNAVAILABLE TO PERFORM THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE.
OVER THE LAST YEAR, THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL INCIDENTS WITH LUG NUTS COMING LOOSE WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSING LOSS IF THE LUG NUT AND TIRE WOBBLING (NOISE). ON 11/09/14, I WAS PARKING MY VEHICLE DRIVING UNDER 5 MPH AND HEARD A LOUD POP. ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, I GOT OUT AND LOOKED BY MY DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE AND SEE THAT LUG NUT AND WHEEL STUD BROKE OFF. I AM SCHEDULED TO SEE THE DEALER TOMORROW FOR A REVIEW OF THE ISSUE AND LOOK FOR OTHER DAMAGE. THE ONGOING ISSUE OF LOOSE LUG NUTS IS A GREAT CONCERN AND MAKES ME WONDER IF THERE IS A BIGGER ISSUE WITH FAULTY STUDS OR WHEEL BEARINGS. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH WHEN THE TIRE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT HOWEVER, THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SIDE TIRE WAS FOUND TO BE DEFLATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND ADVISED THAT THE WHEEL COULD HAVE BEEN DAMAGED DUE TO THE DRIVER'S NEGLIGENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE WHEEL WAS LEAKING AIR DUE TO THE WELDING AT THE TIME OF MANUFACTURING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED.
