2011 JAGUAR XJ Power Train Problems

The contact's husband owned a 2011 Jaguar XJ. The contact stated that while her husband was attempting to park in a parking space and the brake pedal depressed, the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact attempted to decrease the vehicle's speed by going over a bump however the vehicle continued to independently accelerate. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard and then lifted his foot off the brake pedal resulting in a crash with a median. It was unknown if any warning lights were illuminated since the events occurred rapidly. The front air bag partially deployed upon impact. The contact's husband was taken to the hospital by an ambulance where he was treated for both a neck sprain and a back sprain. A police report was filed. A SERIS OF ISSUES PLAQUE THIS MODEL. CHANGED THROTTLE BODY TWICE BUT CAR KEEP SHOWING STABILITY CONTROL NOT AVAILABLE, THROTTLE BODY ACTUATION ISSUES WITH P2119,P2118 CODES AMONG SEVERAL OTHERS. CAR SHAKES AND SHUTS DOWN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING. AT IDLE, THE CAR REV METER GOES UP AND DOWN AND THEN SHUTS OFF. I HAVE TAKEN THIS CAR TO GALPIN JAGUAR OVER 5 TIMES WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND EACH TIME THE PROBLEM REMAINS THE SAME. I HAVE SINCE TAKEN IT TO ANOTHER MECHANIC TWO MORE TIMES PAID THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO REPLACE PARTS AND STILL THE PROBLEM EXISTS. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR LITERALLY MONTHS.
