Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2018 International 4000 Series 4300, 2017-2025 MV, 2018-2024 1300 FBC, 2018-2025 IC Bus TC, and 2024-2025 IC Bus CECB vehicles. The brake pressure switch assembly may leak brake fluid into the brake pressure switch's electrical components and cause an electrical short-circuit.

Consequence: An electrical short in the brake pressure switch can overheat the circuit and increase the risk of a fire while driving or parked.

Defect: International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2024 HV, 2020-2025 MV, and 2019 Workstar 7400 trucks. The caliper may contact a suspension spring or axle U-bolt and prevent the outer brake pad from functioning.

Consequence: A loss of outer brake pad function can extend the vehicle's stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.

The sealing washer may not seat correctly in the pilot bore holes, allowing the high pressure fuel rail assembly to leak.

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

The contact owns a 2020 International MV607. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, an abnormal thunder-like sound was heard coming from the vehicle, with several unknown warning lights displayed on the instrument panel. The contact stated that the vehicle began to jerk violently while shaking the contact was in the seat. The contact immediately pulled off to the shoulder of the highway. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where the mechanic discovered that the fan hub was blown out of the engine. Due to the failure, the fan hub, fuel line, tensioner belt, and radiator all had to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle had been repaired but remained with the dealer. The failure mileage was 178,359.
