LEASED VEHICLE, HIGHWAY DRIVING AND VERY LIMITED LOCAL/CITY DRIVING. BRAKES HAD 'GRINDING' NOISE WHENEVER INITIALLY APPLIED AND I WAS TOLD BY DEALER THAT WAS HOW THE "EUROPEAN BRAKE SYSTEM" SOUNDS -? REQUIRED FRONT BRAKE PADS/ROTORS REPLACED AT ~ 19,000 MILES 8 MONTHS AFTER ACQUIRING THE CAR. REAR BRAKE PADS/ROTORS THEN HAD TO BE REPLACED 13 MONTHS AFTER ACQUIRING THE CAR AT ~ 29,000 MILES. WAS TOLD WHEN HAD CAR IN FOR FAULTY AIR BAG LIGHT ~ 6 WEEKS AGO FRONT PADS WERE WORN TO 4.5 MM. CAR IS IN FOR 38K SERVICE NOW AND IT IS SUSPECTED I AM GOING TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE FRONT BRAKE PADS, AGAIN AFTER ONLY 19,000 MILES SINCE NEW PADS WERE PUT ON!
