2024 HYUNDAI ELANTRA Forward Collision Avoidance Automatic Emergency Braking Problems

When I am using cruise control, my car will just randomly slam on its breaks. I have taken my car into the dealer multiple times, and they have written it off everytime. They have said it’s “direct sunlight” yet I can prove it’s not happening in the sunlight. It happened again today when it was cloudy. It’s also happened before the sun came up in the morning. I have even filed a case with Hyundai directly, and they said if they can’t get it to mimic it, then they can’t do anything about it. But it’s so random, sometimes it happens 50 miles from home, other times it’s 300 miles from home. Always willing to let anyone inspect my vehicle to help solve this issue. NOVEMBER 2023: PURCHASE VEHICLE. SEPTEMBER 2, 2024: DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 50-55MPH IN RIGHT LANE. NO ONE/NOTHING IN FRONT OF ME. CLEAR DAY. VEHICLE COLLISION ALERT STARTS BEEPING, VEHICLE ABRUPTLY BRAKES AND STEERS ITSELF INTO THE LEFT LANE. I FEARED FOR MY LIFE AND ALSO FOR THE PERSON WHO WAS BEHIND ME. SEPTEMBER 16-17, 2024: DROP OFF VEHICLE AT DEALERSHIP FOR OIL CHANGE. NOTFD SERVICE ADVISOR OF SEP 2 INCIDENT, REQUESTED INVESTIGATION. WAS TOLD I'D HAVE TO PAY FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND THEY WOULD LIKELY NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. I WAS ALSO TOLD IN SUMMARY: "NOTHING SEEMED WRONG, INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN A GLITCH, WE CAN TALK ABOUT TURNING OFF THE ENTIRE SAFETY FEATURE." -- I FELT COMPLETELY DISMISSED.
