Component/System Involved: The multi-purpose camera system on my 2019 Honda Fit has malfunctioned, affecting critical safety features, including the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS), and Collision Braking Warning System (CBWS). The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety Risk: The malfunction of these systems significantly jeopardizes safety. For example, the ACC failed to maintain appropriate distance from vehicles ahead, the LKAS did not provide necessary steering assistance, and the CBWS failed to detect and warn of potential collisions. These issues increase the risk of accidents, especially during highway or congested traffic driving. Problem Reproduction and Confirmation: The issue was reproduced and confirmed by Swickard Honda of Thousand Oaks during an inspection conducted on August 20, 2024.
