The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the steering wheel suddenly became very difficult to turn in either direction, with the power steering failure message displayed. The contact stated that after restarting the vehicle, the failure was self-corrected. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was not yet contacted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 55,000.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the part was on backorder. The failure mileage was unknown.
