The SUV has 46,000 miles on it. Recently, the check engine light illuminated, prompting me to take it to the dealership for servicing. The diagnostic codes retrieved were U0285 and U1345. I was informed that the aero shutter required replacement. There was no physical damage; it merely ceased functioning. The dealership confirmed the active check engine light and conducted a diagnosis. While my safety was not immediately compromised, I felt extremely frustrated upon learning that GM would not cover the repair under warranty, despite this being a recognized issue that GM has yet to address. This situation is simply unacceptable and warrants further investigation and resolution.
I have a 2024 GMC Denali that had an engine service appointment in September 2025 for the engine recall where they did an oil change & put in performance grade oil & scoped my engine. Rochester Serra GMC said they sent all the engine pictures to GM and my engine was okay according to them. After that appointment in November my engine light went on and my Denali was leaking oil in my driveway. We took the truck back to Serra GMC Rochester and they replaced the oil filter that they said was defective & an oil change was done after my husband requested that just filling up the oil was not okay. They also told us the engine light didn’t show up on their computer system and it must have cleared out, so nothing was done for that. Today 1/25/26 now about a month later my engine light is...
On 15 Aug 2025, I was driving this vehicle on Rte 151 in raccoon township with my 2 children when the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly experienced a “loss of propulsion” with a corresponding uncommanded shift to “neutral”. Attempts to shift the car back into drive were met with a “parameters not safe” caution. I was fortunate enough that the vehicle behind me was able to slow and an accident was avoided. The thought that this could have happened with my family on the highway, during adverse conditions, or any other scenario is frightening to say the least. Other owners of affected models weren’t as fortunate.
The engine of my 2024 GMC Yukon Denali failed unexpectedly at 45 MPH, shutting off without warning and shifting into neutral. My wife, three passengers, and two dogs were in the vehicle, which coasted to a stop. After several attempts, it restarted, and the check engine light illuminated. Alpine Buick GMC confirmed catastrophic engine failure, requiring replacement of the engine, radiator, hoses, and other parts. The vehicle remains at the dealership, and the failed components are available for inspection. This sudden shutdown posed serious safety concerns. My wife lost control over acceleration and power steering, increasing the risk of an accident. Had this occurred on a highway or in traffic, the consequences could have been severe. This raises concerns about the engine’s reliability and potential risks to other drivers. Alpine Buick GMC confirmed the engine failure and the need for full replacement. I am the sixth customer awaiting this repair,...
