Defect: THE LOWER CONTROL ARM CAN CRACK AT THE FLANGE ON THE END OF THE CONTROL ARM NEAR THE BALL JOINT PAD.

Consequence: THE BALL JOINT CAN SEPARATE FROM THE CONTROL ARM RESULTING IN LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSTALL A REINFORCEMENT BRACE ON EACH OF THE FRONT LOWER CONTROL ARMS.
