2022 GMC ACADIA Engine Problems

UNKNOWN After diagnosis at the GMC dealership they stated that it is same issue as released in the following: Special Coverage Adjustments: N212356540 Front Exhaust Pipe N222385510 Special Coverage Front Exhaust Pipe However they CURRENTLY do not cover our GMC Acadia Model year 2022

purchased the vehicle in good faith, unaware that the check engine light was illuminated at the time of purchase and not informed that this indicated a serious mechanical or emissions-related issue. After purchase, the dealership repaired an emissions-related problem, and the check engine light was no longer present when the vehicle was returned to me. However, within three days of having the vehicle back in my possession, I began experiencing additional issues, including electrical malfunctions and abnormal noises coming from the front wheels. These problems caused the vehicle to feel unsafe to operate and raised serious concerns about its reliability and overall safety. Due to these concerns, I returned the vehicle to the dealership immediately.

The “Steering assist reduced” message came on and, when shut off, the fan blows very hard and loud.

Multiple times an alert has been given for "Driver assist temporarily reduced, drive cautiously". Additionally, the check engine light has come on, with codes for the cooling system. Cooling system fan (HVAC Blower) remains on after shutting off vehicle for anywhere from 5-15 minutes. Coolant levels have been checked and are correct. Heat & AC function, however the thermostat gauge on the instrument panel does not read any temperature at all. At this time, the vehicle has not been taken to the dealership for assessment due to financial constraints.

Electronic thermostat fails. Which causes steering assistance reduced drive with care to illuminate. Temperature gauge drops to cold. Air conditioning no longer operates.

My Acadia has had a stuttering problem and we have taken it to the dealership many times. They finally changed the torque converter but that didn’t fix it. Now today (4/15/25) I got home and I was getting a steering assist reduced error code and then when I turned my car off the fan went as high as it could and wouldn’t turn off. Finally after a bit of time it turned off. I got my car 4/28/22

Engine light warning displayed, temp gauge on display needle remains far left C and doesn’t deviate from that position, steering assist warning displayed, and fan runs for a few moments after the engine is shut off.

my car (2022 GMC Acadia Denali) died on a busy road (XXX) due to this issue yesterday, the engine just stops at 75 miles per hours, I'm barely made safe to the border of the highway. Fuel management system and Engine electrical system were the errors. The FMCE module need to be replaced as the dealer technician stated. There are currently approximately 22,000 miles on this vehicle. On approximately December 22, 2023, the car was operating normally, and has been since purchased with 3 miles on it, the car was being parked into a flat parking spot at a local store, when the car was stopped completely, the engine/start button was pushed, which normally put the car into park and shut the car down, this time, the car shut down but NEVER went into Park and started to drift forward approximately 2 feet before the driver was aware that the car was moving. Luckily there was enough room left when the car was parked if not it would have hit another car or someone else.
